The Writer as I Know Him (Self Portrait) NFS

From my grandfather’s rain poems to my godfather’s Steinbeck, I have been ever chased by men and their pens. In this war of thoughts the battle lies between words and death. Now throw in Emily Dickinson and Oscar Wilde in mid-campaign, plus Herman Hesse and Garcia Marquez from the flanks, then what choice did I have but to join this fight? I had to entente with fire words and rain sentences, build cloud paragraphs to fill storm pages. Over time, my storms marched fully armored in sorrows bright to meet with death at any height. Or sneak up subterranean in guerilla joys to defeat mournings by sabotage! Either method in this war, I guarantee an explosion of maximum delight!
