Light turned brighter in some spots. Clouds went white. Wind picked up and slid west almost as if a curtain silk. The fields in the foreground grew prominent marks. Their ribs and edges bulged muscles across bones. Drew my eyes in like any great stage. The band of trees stepped into this limelight, experts in theatre and show. Each struck their grand pose of fantastic steps, of twisted joy and bent delight, choreographed by some magic mistress unseen. Some bowed, others raised their swan necks in proud pose. What an encore! I clapped, standing enchanted and all alone.
