Reverie a la Carte

In a forest green, moon divided here and there, who were you and who was I? Neither of us were too sure. If that evening was sleep then life was the dream. If your elbow was sad, maybe I was to blame. If your hip was high, I should have folded you close… held you warm, more secure, till the moon was full and done. But the painting wouldn’t remain the same, and life and dream would not be one.
